Hello, I’m Iolanda, born and raised in Sicily, where I live today after years of working abroad. With over 15 years of experience in the tourism industry, I founded Sicily in Travel to give travelers the chance to discover the authentic beauty of Sicily through the eyes of someone who truly knows it. My mission is to transform every journey into a unique experience, far from conventional tourist paths, and let visitors experience the island in a personal, immersive, and unforgettable way.
My passion is creating tailor-made tours designed for couples, families, groups, and solo travelers, including Mount Etna excursions, visits to Taormina, Syracuse, Palermo, and Agrigento, as well as cultural itineraries, food and wine experiences, and authentic encounters with local life and traditions. My name is Anastasiia, a passionate Social Media Coordinator with an international background and a deep love for Sicily travel and culture. Originally from Russia, I have spent nearly 10 years living abroad and traveling across Europe, exploring different cultures, traditions, and destinations.
My first trip to Sicily completely captured my heart. The island’s unique blend of cultures, warm hospitality, world-famous Sicilian cuisine, breathtaking landscapes, and crystal-clear sea views made me fall in love instantly. Why Sicily in travel?
What we all do at an early stage of organising a trip is to look for information online and often we find information that is generic and based on the popularity of places, so having someone who can advise and guide you in choosing the best places to visit in a certain place is always a plus.
I, with my agency, want to offer you the chance to discover Sicily in all its historical, cultural, religious, folkloristic, naturalistic and culinary beauty and as genuine as possible.
How do I design the experience?
My tours are always tailor-made and based on your travel requests and desires, you often write to me with ideas of what you would like to see and do in Sicily, and I am here to help you making your choice by recommending the most characteristic places to visit in your scheduled time.
Once i have all the information clear I start designing the tour, after a first draft with the proposal, we review it together and see if you like to make any changes.
My strong point, I believe, is the deep knowledge of my territory, the love for my island and the desire to make you experience Sicily in a different and non-touristic way, but in a real and genuine way. I am really glad when people have a memorable holiday.
